Latest News: REBOUNDING

Well, a friend (you shall remain anonymous) suggested Rebounding to me. At first I thought that was nuts but wanted to make an informed decision. MAN, ALL the reports are POSITIVE and so we bought one. Supposed to be fantastic for us 'seniors' and great for general health and lymphatic drainage.  We have been using it for several months and I'm up to 12,000 steps/day; that's about 6 miles~

Lymphatic System

You have a cicurlatory system for your bood that has your heart to pump and circulate, but the important lymphatic system has no such pump.  It is your daily, constant movement that acts as the lymphatic pump so you must MOVE.  The lymphatic system is your sort of 'waste disposal drian' and it has to be flushed frequenty.  It is critical for your bain health as well and your general overall health.

Your lymphatic system is a network of organs, vessels and tissues that work together to move a colorless, watery fluid (lymph) back into your circulatory system (your bloodstream). This system is a vital part of your immune system. Your lymphatic system protects you from infection and destroys old or abnormal cells your body doesn’t need. Lymphatic system functions also include maintaining normal fluid levels in your body and absorbing fats and fat-soluble vitamins so they can make their way into your bloodstream.

"Lymphatic Exercises For Health"

Doing specific exercises for the abdominal area is another way to drain fluids from the lymphatic system. Moving the lymph fluid has a detoxifying effect by removing and destroying waste, debris, dead blood cells, pathogens, excess hormones and toxins. The accumulation of all these harmful elements can cause prostate inflammation. Applying lymphatic exercises in the abdominal area can help reduce the prostate’s inflammation by improving bladder function. "

We purchased this Darchen 450 lbs Mini Trampoline for Adults, Indoor Small Rebounder Exercise Trampoline for Workout Fitness for Quiet and Safely Cushioned Bounce, [40 Inch].  It actually sits in our living room, in front of the double doors that lead to our outdoor patio and garden area.  So we can view our growing garden or turn around and watch TV.  You hardly know you are exercising at all; a bit of gentle bouncing and soon you will have the equilivant exercise to walking 4 miles with about 8,000 steps (bounces).

We found that Earth and Owl has some great beginner videos on YouTube and Great for us Seniors as well.  This is the one we got (from Amazon) and it works GREAT; well, we do all the work!
